For the love of Westgate: Selma BenAyed's tribute

Selma BenAyed spent many childhood holidays with her family in Westgate-on-Sea. After living and working overseas for some years, she returned to the UK and studied illustration and animation at UCA in Canterbury. She always retained fond memories of Westgate's town and beaches and has been enjoying re-exploring them during her regular visits in recent years. This exhibitions showcases watercolour paintings, embellished with free-hand stitching and gilding - and some poetry - that Selma has created to celebrate her love of Westgate-on-Sea. Depicting scenes and buildings that will be familiar to residents and visitors, most of the works are for sale.

Westgate Galleria is a large retail gallery and workshop space, located in charming Westgate-on-Sea. The area is a great destination for a weekend or day trip in all seasons. It opens Mondays to Saturdays, 10am to 5pm.  The gallery will not be open on Good Friday or Easter Monday but is open on Saturday 30th March when Selma will be in the gallery to meet and chat with visitors to her exhibition.
