New Horizons: Paintings by Judith Hill
Judith has loved art her whole life, or at least for as long as she can remember! But, like many others, it took a global Pandemic for her to take a leap of faith and finally pursue her passion for creating art.
Born in London, Judith grew up in Kent, moving to London where she worked in publishing for ten years. After moving to Godalming, Surrey she studied interior design and ran her own interior design business. For the last 18 years she has worked in the Third Sector, fundraising for the international charity WWF, and other causes in the field of education, sport, health, welfare and medical research. She now lives in Broadstairs with her partner and springer spaniel, Lulu, working from her studio at Whitewalls.
Judith’s work is inspired by a life-long love of nature, wildlife and travel. The last year has seen Judith travel to Spain, France, Croatia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore seeking inspiration and new ideas for her work. Her upcoming exhibition at Westgate Galleria will include influences from these trips, as well as some more familiar local scenes and inspiration from Thanet.
Westgate Galleria is a large retail gallery and workshop space, located in charming Westgate-on-Sea, in a beautiful part of Thanet. The area is a great destination for a weekend or day trip in all seasons. It opens Mondays to Saturdays, 10am to 5pm.
This will be Judith’s second exhibition at Westgate Galleria and she has also exhibited works at AppArt in Godalming, Surrey, The Margate School, and East Kent Open Studios.
