Are you looking for a venue to exhibit and sell your original art and handmade creations? Westgate Galleria & Studio could be what you are looking for. We offer a number of flexible and affordable packages, for permanent and short term spaces to exhibit and sell your work in our home town of Westgate-on-Sea.

Display and Retail Space Rental

We offer permanent display and selling space at very competitive monthly rentals, with a very low commission fee on sales. We carefully curate our shared space, focussing on art and high quality artisanal handmade craft products made by Kent-based artists, makers and creatives.

Our space rentals are not subject to VAT and we do not require a deposit.

We invite you to  contact us to arrange to visit the galleria, show us your portfolio and view the rental spaces we have available, which include walls, shelves, crates, cubes and tables. We also have some Sale or Return (SoR) opportunities available occasionally.

Guest Exhibition Walls

If you are looking for a short-term exhibition opportunity we have a large Guest Wall dedicated to month-long guest exhibitions. We are usually booking this space up at least six – nine months in advance which provides plenty of time for you to prepare your exhibition pieces. We take a 20% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking.

We encourage Guest Wall artists to spend time in the gallery during their exhibition to engage and interact with our visitors. The times you are present can be advertised as Meet and Greet the Artist sessions. We can also arrange a private viewing for your exhibition.

We are not always able to offer a space immediately, but do hold waiting lists so it is a good idea to get in quickly.

Makers’ Markets

We are the lead organisers for Margate Made, which offers pop-up selling opportunities in Thanet, celebrating creativity, community and learning locally. Click here for information

We provide a supportive environment for all our artists, makers and creatives to exhibit and sell in, with user-friendly and artist-focussed contract terms and booking processes. We welcome those who are new to showing their work and those who are more established or with more experience. Once you have joined Shoreline you will benefit from social media coverage, as well as support from a like-minded group of creative people who keep in contact with each other through our WhatsApp groups, get togethers, and when they meet in the galleries and at events.

Don’t be nervous, we are happy to chat about the options and this entails no commitment on your part, especially if you are new to this – we encourage you to make an investment in yourself and use the support and opportunities we believe we can offer you.
