About Margate Made
Margate Made celebrates creativity, community and learning locally.
Our events are an engaging combination of showcasing the talents of Thanet’s artists, makers and creatives, alongside free, or nearly-free, creative activities for our visitors to try out for themselves.
Our makers’ market events provide value for money, respectful, supportive, selling, promotional and networking stall-holder opportunities for established and emerging artists, makers, teachers and creatives; and an opportunity for visitors to talk to local creative people about their work and inspirations, discover, enjoy and buy some unique and affordable, locally made arts, crafts and gifts, and get inspired enough to try out being creative themselves – we believe that it’s in us all.
We always aim to use venues that support and epitomise our ethos. Organisations who have supported and hosted our makers’ markets include Kent Adult Education, Ageless Thanet, The Margate School and Shoreline Partners. We are indebted to our volunteers, stewards and activity leads, without them Margate Made does not happen. We are always keen to hear from anyone interested in joining our team of supporters.
Margate Made events are free to the public, they are family-friendly, and accessible.
