POWER TO THE PEACEFUL; Altered Surfaces

Sarah Wyld invites you to see her colour and black and white photographs of surfaces that have been altered by humans (which we've been doing for around 44000 years). These walls, roads, trees, cliffs, and more, have also been altered by the sun, weather, and time.

In October 2021 Sarah is exhibiting on our Guest Wall at The Eclectic Art Gallery just a few of these surfaces that have caught her eye and touched her soul, from the 1970's to the present day. They are brought to you from London, Zurich, Venice and Thanet!

POWER TO THE PEACEFUL runs from 8th to 31st October. Entry is free. Some prints will be available to buy, and to order in different sizes. The opening hours are Wednesdays to Sundays, 11am to 4pm.

Our monthly Guest Wall exhibitions at The Eclectic Art Gallery take place alongside a display of contemporary art created by 18 local independent artists who sell their original work in a shared retail gallery space. Works on show include figurative, landscape and abstract oil, acrylic and watercolour paintings, pen and ink illustrations, traditional and digital photography, ceramics, jewellery, and mixed media pieces. A selection of prints and cards and postcards are also available.

The Eclectic Art Gallery is located in Margate's Old Town, near Turner Contemporary. The local area is a great venue for a day or weekend trip, in all seasons. See here for more detailsincluding travel directions.
